We are almost entering summer and in this period of season's changing, what's better than a book tag about them.

May is the month when flowers start to bloom. Name a book that was a pleasant surprise to you.

I've never been a Science fan, but after reading the Martian it was all about space. During and after reading it I started to read more about the scientific space advancement and discoveries. All the legends and stories about the moon's landing and space's adventures will blow your mind!

The Martian is really well written, Andy Weir was able to make science not only simple but also funny and appealing.

June is the time to take a break. Name a book or genre that you like to read when you just need to check out.

When I need to plug off from everything I usually go for a Romance, better if it's about teenage drama. More than anything it has to be a light and fast read, where my brain can chill and have a good time.

July is the time to celebrate your independence! Name a book that made you see fireworks. (Figuratively. Please don't light books on fire)

Talking about fire certainly, Frost Blood by Elly Blake has it (REVIEW--> HERE). This new dystopian series started off quite well with a Little Red Hood reminiscence in the plot and the building of a world separated in fire and ice. A good read but still unremarkable under many aspects, I waiting for the spark in the second book!

Also July it's my birthday month, the best gift I ever received was two concert tickets for my favorite singer: The Passenger, thanks sis xx

August is the hottest month of the year. Pick an up-and-coming author that you think will be the next hottest thing.

Well she is already hot and if you haven't heard about her you should open Goodreads, cuz Victoria Schwab is going worldwide. A Darker Shade of Magic it's been on the top ten NewYork Times bestselling fantasy for a while, also the trilogy if starting to be translated around the world, not to mention that the right have been acquired for a possible movie-series adaptation. For me, this series is one of the best high-fantasy and dark story of all the time, all mixed up with perfect writing and clever plot, put her on the list for the next J.K Rowling.

September is time for students to go back to school! Pick a book you read for school that you actually enjoyed.

I was lucky enough this year to read all good books - Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Dr.Jekyll & Mr.Hyde by Robert Luis Stevenson, Hamlet and The Tempest by Shakespeare, Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen, Dracula by Bram Stoker- I enjoyed all of them but if I had to pick one, I'll say Hamlet. I still can't believe how much I liked this tragedy, I did revalue Shakespeare a lot and found myself in love with his plays.

October is time to celebrate Halloween! Pick a character that you would love to dress up as for Halloween.

Inej from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. She is a kickass famle character with kickass ability, what else do you want!?!

November is the month when we're reminded of how much we have to be thankful for. Choose one book you're grateful for having read and give a shout-out to the person who recommended it!

Cinder by Marissa Meyer and I'm super thankful to @bright_star91 for recommending it. I would have never though that classic fairytale could be swept into a sci-fi universe and still work so well.I loved the book and I loved the series.

December is a time when friends and families come together and celebrate. Name one book you would give as a gift.

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, this book I surely one of my must-gift. I did give it already to almost all my friends, I love the book, it's a short beautiful story and the illustration from Jim Kay are amazing.

January begins a new year. Name a resolution you made this year and if you've kept it or not.

Well, has every year I usually promise myself that I'll be more healthy, I'll do more sport, go on a diet, get out more, study harder, and has every year it turns out that I have all good intentions but the universe is plotting against me. Like if I want to go on a diet, my sister will pop by my house with cake; if I wanna go running, it will start to rain, if I want to study, a book will start screaming to be picked up from my bookshelf. So yes, it's not that I'm not persistent in my goals, it the universe!

February is the month for relationships. Name your favorite book relationship: romantic, platonic, or familial, your choice!

Jenny Han is one of the best in creating a real net of characters, you can touch the connection existing between the characters in To All the boys I've loved before. The love and feelings between the character are at hand, you feel them ahs your own.

March is the month for luck and new beginnings. Name a book or series that you would like to re-experience as if you'd never read it.

Harry Potter for sure, It was my first fantasy series and I do reread it from time to time so I would love to experience again all that wonder and anxiety.

April is a spectacularly ordinary month. Name a book that was so over-hyped that it just could not live up to your expectations.

I was expecting way more from a Wintersong by S.Jae-Jones (REVIEW-->HERE), though I loved the whole idea about the goblin wife, the development and the boring description about music made it so that it was a struggle to get to its end.

TEA TIME: Beauty and the Beast - Retellings

IT'S TEA TIME !

The disney real-action movie just came out, as a retelling itself, I'd like to honor it and go through all the Beauty and the Beast retellings I've read so far. Since is quite a popular story, there are a lot of books inspired by this classic fairytale but I've gathered down below just the one I've read.

In no particular order - without any further do, let's jump right in!

- A Court of Thorns and Roses - Sarah J. Maas -

Sarah J. Maas is probably one of the best master when it comes to Adult Fantasy. In A Court of Thorns and Roses series she took the starting point from the Beauty and the Beast and created a richly imagines fairy tale. We don't have a beast but shape-shifters faeries.

Plot:

When nineteen-year.old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land sh only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamil- one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled the world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But and ancient wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it... or doom Tamlin - and his world - forever.

The story is sprinkled with beautiful themes and sensuality. The world building is inventive and even though you don't get the full picture in the first book, the horizont gets wider and more detailed in the second. The writing is good, and above all the characters development throughout the series is amazing.

I gave a 4/5 starts at this first installment in the series, and a 5/5 star at the second (A court of Mist and Fury), which was just perfect!

- Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge -

Rosamund Hodge is well known for her classic stories retellings, her style and characters dosen't do for me but they are loved by plenty, so it's worth a look to in which side you fall.

The story is about Nyx, who since birth has been betrothed to the evil ruler of her kingdom - all becouse of a foolish bargain struck by her father. And since birth she is been training to kill him.

Without a choice Nyx, at sixteen, abandons everything to marry the all-powerful, immortal Ignifex. Her plan? Seduce him, destroy his enchanted castle, and break the curse he put on her people.

But Igenex is not at all what Nyx expected.

Has I said at the beginnings I can't come to like her book, but that doesn't mean that they are not plenty of good they just don't get to me. I thought this book did mix to many myths and legends, and I ended up giving it 2/5 stars on Goodreads.

-Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa Meyer-

Scarlet (REVIEW-->HERE) is the second instalment in the Lunar Chronicles series, even if it's supposed to be a retelling of Little Red Hood, there are too many recalls to the Beauty and the Beast. It's impossible in my opinion to pick it up as a standalone, but the series it's really good so I suggest you, if you want to read it, to start of with Cinder (REVIEW-->HERE).

Plot:

Cinder, the cyborg, mechanic, is trying to break out of prison - even though she succeeds, she'll be the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have informations as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

The series is beautiful and a fast read, don't get scared of by the massive volume, you will fly through the pages form an exciting adventure to another. I can't say al lot about Scarlet/Wolf's story without spoiling it too much, but to give a reason to the why I put it in the Beauty&Beast category, let's just say that wolf will become quite beastly over time.

I gave this book a 4/5 stars, highly recommend the series!

- Uprooted by Naomi Novik -

Uprooted get the whole Beauty&Beast feeling, but instead of an ugly beast we get a powerful, cruel wizard.

Plot:

Agnieszka loves her valley home, her quiet village, the forests and the bright shining river. But the corrupted wood stands on the border, full of malevolent power, and its shadow lies over her life.

Her people rely on the cold, ambitious wizard, known as the Dragon , to keep the wood's powers at bay. But he demands a terrible price for his help: one young woman must be handed to serve him for ten years, a fate almost as terrible as being lost to the wood.

When the next choosing comes, the Dragon chooses her to serve him.

The story is hugely imaginative, engrossing and vivid; the plot gets pretty twisted but works perfectly, the writing style is highly evocative, and the characters feel real. This is for sure one of the best fantasy novel inspired by folk and fairy tales. I handed up giving it a 4.5/5 stars, you are gonna love it!.

- The Star Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi -

Star-Touched Queen (REVIEW--> HERE) presents itself like a fairy-tale retelling, based on stories like Beauty and the Beast and the greek myth of Hades and Persephone all mixed-up with indian legends. The writer was able to mix all this elements and created an imaginative tale.

Plot:
Maya, one of Bharata Raja's daughter, has been cursed with a Horoscope that promise a marriage of death and destruction, making her an outcast in the court. Content to follow more scholarly pursuit, her world will be turn upside down when her father arranged a political marriage to peace the outside rebellions. She will soon find herself in Akaran, a land in between worlds, married to the Raja Amar - and in his mysterious palace there are many doors that must not be open and many voices not to follow.

All of the lucks in the characters development are mystified by the vibrant, elegant language, Roshani Chokshi use. She is clearly a skilled writer and her poetic vibe did combine wonderfully with the magic atmosphere of India's folk stories.

I ended up giving this story a 3/5 stars.

TEA TIME: Beauty and the Beast (2017) - Animated Version vs Live-Action Movie

The new Disney's movie adaptation of this old classic just came out, and oh boy, it was worth the wait, it's stunning!

This old classic gets a 20th century kick in - if you've been following Emma Watson's interviews you will known that she tried to give Belle's role a stronger, independent women appeal. As all the new Disney movies suggest, the princess is not waiting to be saved anymore, instead she is the one doing the saving.

Let's have a look at the main changes made from the 1991 animated version to the new live-action one:

[CONTAINS SPOILER]

1- The Prince.

Apart from computerized, beastly Dan Stevenson appearance, in this movie we finally get a bit of the Prince's back story. At the beginnings, we see the young prince having a lavish ball in the castle. We are shown as he throws the beggar women, seeking refuge, out of the castle, at which point she turns into the enchantress and places the curse on the castle.

Later on, we learn about the Prince/Beast 's past and how his mother died when he was a kid, leaving him alone with his cruel father, who raised him as the mirror image of himself.

2-Belle's dad.

In the animated version Belle's father, Maurice (Kevin Kline), was an inventor. Instead in the live-action movie, is presented as a skilled artist. While the role of the inventor is taken up by Belle, when she comes up with a laundry machine that saves her time and work, so she is free to read as much as she wants.

3- Escaping.

As we said Belle is not a passive heroine, so at the first chance she tries to escape the castle. After being dressed up in a ridiculous outfit by Garderobe, she decided to use the fabric to make a rope to climb out of the tower. But her plan foiled when Mrs. Potts sees her and convinces her to go to dinner.

4 - Trembling castle.

One of the feature I loved the most was how the castle was directly involved in the curse. Apart from been divided in the Ovest/Belle's wing - light and rich - and the Est/Beast's wing - gothic and gloomy-, it also starts to crumble every time a rose petal falls.

5- Enchanted Book.

The Beast has an enchanted book that allows him to travel. One of the cruel jokes the enchantress plays on the beast is also giving him a book that can take him anywhere he wants. Though he doesn't utilize it much, since his beastly appearance will be rejected by others. He will use it to take Belle to Paris, where she discovers something about her past.

6- Belle's mom death.

In the movie, the Beast uses his enchanted book to bring Belle to Paris, where she visits her childhood home and learns that her mum died from the Bubonic plague.

7- Gaston is really evil.

After Maurice rejects the idea of Gaston marrying his daughter, Gaston decides to tie Maurice to a tree and let him be eaten by wolves, in the hope that Belle will need a man to take care of her after the loss of her father. Maurice is saved by Agathe, the spinster, that at the end of the movie reveals herself as the enchantress.

8- There's a new character!

We are introduced to a new character: Cadenza. Played by Stanley Tucci, who turns into a piano when the castle is cursed. He is married to Garderobe, played by Audra Mcdonald.

9- Le Fou is gay.

We learn that Le Fou (Josh Gad) is gay. Not really surprising -with all the subtle reference in the animated version-, but he is the first disney character to be officially and openly gay. This fact made it to the headlines all around the world. A theater in Alabama decided not to show the movie in its establishment because of the scene, which I find behind any sense of reason since the only explicit "gay" scene regards Le Fou dancing with a man who enjoy dressing in drags, at the end of the movie.

10- Mrs Potts and Cogsworth are married to villagers.

We learn that all memory of the castle and its inhabitants were forgotten by the villagers. When the curse is lifted, we find out that both Mrs Pott (Emma Thompson) and Cogsworth (Ian McKellen) are merries to people we already met from the the village.

This were the main difference I spotted, did you find some other important changes?

TEA TIME - HALLOWEEN SPOOKY BOOKS

HALLOWEEN SPOOKY BOOKS

Autumn did finally kick in and halloween is at the doors. So be ready to be spooked!

Halloween in Italy was adopted as festivity, so it's not such an important day. It's is definitely more celebrated in England or America, where every kids wait for this magical day where getting a sugar rush and scaring people is allowed. I spent one halloween in England and that was the best of my life. There was all the mental preparation to it: carving the pumpkin, getting the sweets, creating a costume and finally when the day came I was ready to spook some kids.

I had so much fun as an adult that it became my favorite creepy-time of the year. So I thought it would be funny to celebrate it with you in a spooky book tag!

This tag is a mix of bits of different book tags, I just took the tips I liked the best from each and made some up.

CRAVE IT

What book would you crave and set on fire?

This is actually a hard question, first book are sacred for me and second I haven't read many bad book lately. I had to scroll down my goodreads book to see which book mada my more mad and the book that raised a killing vibe was Cruel Beauty by Hodge Rosamund. As a writer she has spectacular skills, but I still don't know how she does it in the end I always come to hate all her characters. So I wouldn't mind doing a little bonfire of it!

THE ZOMBIE

Which character would you likely bring back to life?

The character I would likely bring back to life is Dobby, from Harry Potter by J.K Rowling. I think his resurrection wouldn't corrupt the plot, because come on J.K was it really necessary to kill him and ruining my childhood??

THE WIDOW

Which book or series left you grieving?

Not to pick Harry Potter again I will say Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. This book emptied me of all my emotion and left wandering around for days mourning, before I was able to move on. I'm still not completely healed from this loss.

TRICK OR TREAT?

Pick a character who is a trick and one who is a treat?

Let's start with the latter one. Any character from Victoria Schwab will probably do the work, but the one that made me lick my finger was Victor from Vicious. I still have drool on my face everytime I think of him The fact that Victor is a malicious character, who has a quirky and unique idea of justice should make me think a bit more about my taste...

The character that was a trick for me is for sure Tamlin what a twist of character Sarah J.Maas did bring in the second book of the series. We go from a loving Tamlin to an obsessed stalker freak one, and she does it so smoothly, she is a master.

THE GHOST?

Which book you read had the most creepy ghost?

I don't read many horror stories, but thinking hardly about it a lot of books I've read have ghosts or imagined/hallucinated one in it. The winner for the most creepy ghost goes to Catherine from Wuthering Heights. Her figure already did give me the creeps alive, as a ghost she would have scared the crap out of me if I saw her in real life. While reading about her haunting spirit, I felt like Joseph, a superstitious old chump.

Just a bit under her comes King Hamlet's ghost, Hamlet's father (gosh did they not have fantasy with names!!), he was something else, quite disturbing.

JACK THE RIPPER

Which is the book or series that made you a compulsive buyer of anything related to it?

Alice's Adventure in Wonderland is my little, not so secret, obsession. I have 8 different copy of the book, one of which is in french and I don't speak french, doesn't matter since it's a beautiful copy, illustrated by one of my favorite artists Benjamin Lacombe. Apart from that I have different items related to Alice's world, and they are never too much!

THE DOPPELGANGER

Which character would you like to be for halloween night?

Kell from A Darker Shade of Magic has a magic cloak with infinite pockets full of smuggled tickets, a black eye and black magic running in his veins. I would pay to be his doppelganger for a night, and come on who wouldn't like a cloak that makes you fit in any world?

TEA TIME #4: 10 Things to know before reading Harry Potter & The Cursed Child

Before diving head-on in this new story, based on Harry Potter's world, we need to clarify some misconceptions hanging around the 8th story. Let me first say that I'm a huge fan of the saga, and I couldn't wait for this to come out. Here is what you should know from someone that did dive head.on in the book without been prepared for what was in it.

1- IT'S NOT A BOOK.

First of all, this is the original script from the play by Jack Thorne. It's not a novelization, it's the rehearsal draft of the play, so hold the horses it's not the eight book. There is little description of the characters and locations you will have to fill in the gaps with your previous knowledge of the series and your imagination.

2- IT WASN'T WRITTEN BY J.K ROWLING

Even though her name is the biggest on the cover the script was written by Jack Thorne. The story was created in collaboration between J.K Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. The characters are still hers but don't expect to find her writing style in it.

3- IT'S THE LAST AND OFFICIAL HARRY POTTER'S STORY

Rowling confirmed, at the play premiere, that this is the and of Harry's story and that she doesn't plan to write any more book on him and his family. But maybe on a friend?
Who knows, we are allowed to dream!

4- IT STARTS WHERE WE LEFT

The story picks up from Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows epilogue. Nineteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts our heroes, now grown up, are at platform 9 3/4 to send off their kids. From there the story skips forward to Albus, Harry's kid, forth year of school. The play concentrated itself on the relationship between father and son, Harry and Albus.

5- WHO IS THE CURSED CHILD?!

Even after reading the play, I still can't figure out who The Cursed Child might be. It could apply to any of our protagonist, Harry, Scorpius, Albus, or the late-revealed villain of the play.
Does someone have a clue?

6- THE OLD CHARACTERS ARE BACK

What I liked more about the book was having back my favorite characters, some even from the dead. We can't have them all but we

7- THERE ARE SOME NEW CHARACTERS TOO

Apart from our old friends we get to see some new fantastic characters and some unexpected ones. Such as Scorpius Malfoy who is, for me, the best character of the play, his personality is something in between Hermione and Ron, he is a really pleasing to read about.

8-IT'S A SHORT READ

There are 330 pages, but since it's all dialogues there is more black space than text. You are going to read it in one stand!

9- IT'S A BESTSELLER

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child wa selling even before it realises. After it release it sold more than 2 million copies in the first two days, It became quickly the fastest selling book of the decade, it did dethrone even E.L James Fifty Shade of Gray, and keeps on selling. Not bad for a play?!

10- YOU NEED TO SEE IN IT IN THE THEATER

The play premiere was held on the 30th of july in London's West-End at the Palace Theater.
This screenplay is made to be seen on stage, I'm sure it's a fantastic play seeing all the good reviews, and I've tried to get a good ticket for ages but you can't find one they are all sold out, the only way to buy them is from a reselling. Well if they get a little cheaper I'll be the first in line!

Lo screenplay originale di Harry Potter e La Maledizione dell'Erede (Harry Potter and The Cursed Child) uscirà in Italia il 24 Settembre 2016, uscito invece in inglese il 31 Luglio, noi dovremmo aspettare un po' perchè arrivi nelle nostre librerie.

Prima di buttarci acapofitto nell' ottava storia, nell'universo di Harry Potter, dobbiamo chiarire alcune misconcezioni relative a questo libro. Ecco cosa sapere prima di iniziare la lettura:

1- NON E' UN LIBRO.

Innanzitutto, è il copione teatrale scritto da Jack Thorne, perciò tenete a feno i cavalli. Non è un romanzo, ma battute di teatro. C'è poco o nulla di descrizione relativa a personaggi e luoghi, dovrete riempire gli spazi vuoti con la vostra conoscenza del mondo harripotteriano e la vostra immaginazione.

2- NON E' STATO SCRITTO DA J.K ROWLING

Anche se il suo nome è scritto a lettere cubitali sulla copertina, la sceneggiatura finale è stata scritta da Jack Thorne. La storia è stata creata in collaborazione tra J.K Rowling, Jack Thorne e John Tiffany. I personaggi sono acora della Rowling, ma non aspettatevi di vedere il suo stile di scrittura.

3- E' L'ULTIMA E UFFICIALE STORIA DI HP

Rowling ha confermato , alla premiere teatrale, che questa sarà storia pubblicata su Harry e la sua famiglia. Ma su un amico? Chi lo sà, ci è permesso di sognare!

4- TUTTO RIPARTE DA DOVE ERA FINITO

La storia riprende dall'epilogo di Harry Potter e i Doni della Morte. Diciannove anni dopo la Battaglia di Hogwarts, i nostri eroi, ormai cresciuti, sono al binario 9 3/4 pronti a salutare i loro figli che in procinto di salire sul treno che li porterà ad Hogwarts. Da qui la storia salta in avanti, al quarto anno di scuola di Albus, il figlio di Harry e Ginny. La recita si concentrerà sul rapporto padre-figlio di Harry e Albus.

5- CHI E' L'EREDE MALEDETTO?!

Anche dopo aver finito di leggerlo, non miè ancora chiaro a chi si riferisca il titolo.Potrebbe applicarsi a chiunque dei nostri protagonisti, da Scopius Malfoy a Albus Potter o al tardo-rivelato cattivo della storia.
Qualcuno ha un indizio?

6- I VECCHI PERSONAGGI SONO TORNATI

La cosa più bella di questo sequel, è stato rivedere in azione alcuni dei miei personaggi preferiti della serie, alcuni ritorneranno persino dall oltretomba. Non li rivedremo tutti ma ci accontentiamo.

7-...E ALCUNI SONO NUOVI

Oltre ha rivedere i nostri vecchi eroi, un intera nuova generazione di maghi viene introdotta. Tra tutti ho amato moltissimo Scorpiuos Malfoy, la sua personalità è una via di mezzo tra Hermione e Ron,, è brillante e spiritoso.

8- E' UNA LETTURA VELOCE

Ci sono 330 pagina, ma dal momento che per la maggior parte sono si tratta di dialoghi, vi è parecchio spazio vuoto. Lo si puo leggere tutto in una volta!

9- E' UN BESTSELLER

Harry Potter e La Maledizione dell'Erede era un bestseller ancora prima della sua uscita. dopo la pubblicazione, in due giorni è diventato il libro venduto più velocemente del decennio, detronizando Cinquanta Sfumature di Grigio di E.L James. E' sicuramente destinato a superare ogni record di vendite. Non male per un copione teatrale!

10- E' DA VEDERE A TEATRO

La prima teatrale si è tenuta il 30 luglio nel West-End londinese al Palace Theater. Questa sceneggiatura è fatta per essere vista in azione sul palco, e visti i responsi positivi sicuramente lo merita. E' impossibile trovare un biglietto disponibile se non presso i rivenditori con prezzi alle stelle. Se dovessero mai essere un po più abbordabili sarò la prima in fila!

The movie Suicide Squad is coming out this week-end and I've been waiting for it since I first saw the epic trailer. With a stellar cast like Will Smith, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, a catching Margot Robbie, and the brilliant soundtrack, it's one of the most anticipated movie of 2016.

Who doesn't love a group of super-baddies who is forced to save the world!

We, in some part, can relate better to the bad-guys, with their flaws and desires than to any too good to be true heros. I would like to share with you some of my favorite antihero books.

There is a distinguished we have to clarify before going forward into the matter bad and evil are two different things, something evil will for sure be bad but something bad doesn't have to be evil, so we can have bad-guy doing something good, obviously they will do it with style!

I think the master of all the atypical heros is Victoria Schwab, she does have a peculiar taste for monster, more specifically for the ones that live inside of us. Her characters are unique, peculiar, always on the edge between good and evil. Her masterpiece is Vicious

In Vicious, we find are self in a comic like world where super villains and superheroes can be easily mistaken for each other.

"The paper called Eli a hero.
The word made Victor laugh. not just becouse it was absurd, but becouse it posed a question. If Eli really was a hero, and Victor meat to stop him, did that make him a villain?"

The story starts with Victor and Eli - two brilliant, arrogant, lonely boys who recognized the same sharpness and ambition in each other. They start a research on adrenaline, near-death experiences, and seemingly supernatural events reveals the possibility, that given the right conditions, someone could develop extraordinary ability. But when their thesis moves from theoretical to practical, things go horribly wrong. Ten years later , Victor breaks out of prison, determined to catch up to his old friend, aided by a young girl who can rise the dead, and some other adds along the way. meanwhile Eli is on holy mission to eradicate every other super-powered person he can find.
Both terribly powerful, driven by revenge, the battle between the two arch-nemeses is going to be epic!

It's all about the ambition, the betrayals and jealousies, that brought together first, and broke apart after, our two protagonists. Eli and Victor both have a dark-side beyond their collect and calm exterior; showing a fine line between good and bad guys.
Everything about this book draws you in: the characters, the plot, the excellent and effortless writing of Victoria Schwab. It's elegantly crafted, the book move fluidly from past to present, each chapter is perfectly linked to the next.

Victor is one of my favorite Villains of all times, I would highly recommend this book to any reader it's beautiful.

Looking for bad guys on my bookshelf I couldn't skip Kaz group of criminals, from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.

This is one of the books that blows you away with his fantastic characters, flawless writing and thrilling adventures!

The story takes place in Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be brought for the right price and no one knows that better than Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his dreams. But he can't pull it off alone. He will need to recruit some more outcasts from the scum of the Barrell. A convict with a thirst for revenge, a sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager, a runaway with a privileged past, a spy known as the Wraith, a heartender using magic to survive the slums, a thief with a gift for unlikely escape.
Kaz and his unlikely craw will find them self not only trying to pull off the biggest heist they were ever given but they will have to save the world too.

This book is amazingly structure from the characters, to the plot. A really beautiful start with this series for Leigh Bardugo.

Suicide Squad esce questo week-end, non vedo l'ora di vederlo visto che lo sto aspettando da quando ho visto l'epico trailer. Con un cast stellare come Will Smith, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, una Margot Robbie che ruba la scena, e una colonna sonora brillante, lo rendono uno dei film più attesi del 2016.

Chi non ama una gruppo di super-cattivi costretti a salvare il mondo!

E' più facile, in qualche modo, rivedersi in questi cattivoni con i loro difetti e desideri rispetto a qualunque eroe buonista. Vorrei condividere con voi i miei due libri preferiti che hanno come protagonisti degli anteroi.

Dobbiamo prima fare una distinzione tra cattivo e malvagio. Un azione malvagia implica la cattiveria ma un azione cattiva non implica malvagità, perciò possiamo avere dei super-cattivi che fanno qualcosa di buono, ovviamente con uno stile non sempre corretto.

Credo che la maestra di tutti gli anti eroi sia Victoria Schwab, tra tutti gli scrittori ha un particolare interesse verso i mostri, e più in particolare verso quelli che vivono dentro di noi. I suoi personaggi hanno sempre una grande profondità psicologica, e personalità in cui emerge la conflittualità tra bene e male. Il suo capolavoro è Vicious.

"Molti uomini sono stati mostruosi, e molti mostri sono stati capaci di fingersi uomini"

In Vicious ci ritroviamo in un mondo dalle atmosfere fumettistiche, dove eroi e cattivi possono essere facilmente mischiati l'un con l'altro.

"L'articolo definava Eli un eroe.

La parola fece ridere Victor, non solo perchè era assurdo, ma perchè poneva una domanda. Se Eli era veramente l'eroe, e Victor voleva fermarlo, questo faceva di lui il cattivo?"

La storia racconta di Victor e Eli - due ragazzi brillanti, arroganti e solitari che possiedono la stessa ambizione. All'università iniziano una ricerca sull'adrenalina, l'esperienze pre-morte, e su alcuni eventi apparentemente soprannaturali, teorizzando la possibilità che sotto le giuste condizioni alcuni possono sviluppare capacità fuori dall'ordinario. Ma quando dalla teoria passano alla pratica, la situazione degenera.

Dieci anni più tardi, Victor evade di prigione, determinato a ricongiungersi con il suo vecchio amico (ora nemesi), e accompagnato da una ragazza che può riportare in vita i morti. Nel frattempo Eli è in missione per conto di Dio nell'eredicare dalla terra ogni super-uomo che riesce a trovare.

Armati di terribili super-poteri, guidati da vendetta, la battaglia tra questi due arci nemici si preannuncia epica!

La stessa ambizione che prima legava i nostri protagonisti ora li separa. Eli e Victor nascondono sotto il loro aspetto composto e la loro calma una lato oscuro; ci mostrano come sia flebile la linea che divide bene e male.

Mi ha attirato tutto di questo libro: dalla trama alla scrittura eccellente e senza sforzo della Schwab, è elegantemente realizzato. Il libro si muove fluidamente da passato a presente, colleganto perfettamente ogni capitolo con il successivo.

Victor resta uno dei miei super-cattivi preferito, consiglio vivamente la lettura di questo libro a ogni genere di lettore.

Cercando altri super-cattivi nella mia libreria non potevo lasciare fuori la banda di criminali di Kaz, tratta da Six of Crows di Leigh Bardugo.

Questo è uno di quei libri che ti sorprende con i suoi personaggi unici, avventure pazzesche e scrittura impeccabile!

La storia si svolge in Ketterdam: un vivace centro di commercio internazionale, dove tutto può essere comprato per il giusto prezzo, e nessuno lo meglio di Kaz Breker. A Kaz viene offerta la possibilità di compiere un un grosso colpo, che potrebbe renderlo più ricco di quanto abbia mai sognato. Ma non può portare a termine quest'impresa impossibile da solo, avrà bisogno di reclutare qualche altra canaglia. Un detenuto con una sete di vendetta, un cecchino che non sà rinunciare a una scommessa, un fuggiasco con un passato da privilegiato, una spia conosciuta come Wraith, un Heartrender che usa la sua magia per sopravvivere i bassi fondi, e un ladro con un dono per le fughe impossibili. Kaz e la sua improbabile squadra si troveranno non solo a fare il colpo più grande che li sia mai capitato tra le mani, ma anche a salvare il mondo.

Questo libro è strutturato magnificamente: dai personaggi alla trama. Un bellissimo inizio per questa nuova serie di Leigh Bardugo.

With all the hype going around PokemonGo, I just couldn't pass this book tag.
You can't go anywhere this days, without seeing people walking around with their phones on hand ready to catch'em all.

If once it was difficult to talk with a friend at the Pub cus of FB feeds, now you have to watch out for Bulbasaur too. Technology will take away any social interactions soon, but while we let that happen here is the book tag:

I don't remember the first book I've read, but I do remember the first book I felt for and made me love reading. It is Harry Potter - The Order of the Phenix. You are probably thinking why the 5th book in the series, because I was an ignorant muggle who thought it wasn't necessary to read the first fourth book since she did watch the movies; how wrong I was! I did make up for it right after finishing the Order of the Phenix, starting the series from the beginning.

J.K Rowling made me a reader, it's thanks to her that I discover my love for readings, picking up from fantasy to classics growing up.

My favorite Classic is beyond any doubts Alice's Adventure in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
I'm kind of a fanatic, I collect copies of this book. If I find a strange, beautiful edition of it I'll buy it. I was in France this year and I found a beautiful french copy, illustrated by Benjamin Lancome that I just had to have, and I don't know french...So yes I'm obssed with it, right now I own eight different edition of it and I don't think i'll be ever finish with it.

After - Anna Todd's series. I love to read romance in summer but last year this book was literally everywhere, every book shop had it in full window display, it was on every damn book blog, at the grocery stores, EVERYWHERE. I was so sick of seeing it that I never got myself to read it and I think I never will. I mean is a fanfiction about OneD that got through publishing, I wouldn't pick it up if it it was the last book on earth, I'll probably use it as fire log.

This wasn't easy to choose there are few books I loved that weren't unique in their own way. The only book series I could think of that was not 100% original but that is one of my all time favorites is The Maze Runner. It came out with the flood of dystopian on the market, but on my opinion had a mature feeling to it, the plot was more cruel and twisted leaving the romance on the side, just how I like it!

I had great fun reading it!

I've been hearing great things about Patrick Rothfuss and The Kingkiller Chronicles, those books weigh a ton. But that's not the first reason I can't bring myself to read it, the biggest worry is that the last book still not out yet and it looks like Patrick Rothfuss is taking his time to finishing it... So what happen is I read the first two books, I love them and I have to wait ten years for the last book! No, I just can't, when this fantomatic book will come out I will start the series.

Lots of book did! I'm an avid night reader. The last one I simply couldn't put down was After You by Jojo Moyes. Amazing book sequel of Me Before You I just kept saying just one more chapter and than I'm gonna sleep, but I didn't until it was four in the morning and I had to force myself to sleep.

The book couples that got me fangirling like a psyco were: Kez/ Inej & Wylan/Jasper from Six of Crows, I ship them so hard, if you never read the book you should definitely check it out all the characters are amazing!

Another couple is Kell/Delilah from A Darker Shade of Magic, one of my all time favorite series, they have a great interaction between them, nothing cheesy but full of sparks.

A book I literally flown through was A Court of Mist and Fury, second book in a Sarah J.Maas's series - A Court of Thorns and Roses . Even though it's not a short book (624 p), it felt like a short story. I did eat it up. Once started, I couldn't put it down and I kept thinking about it when I wasn't reading it.

I've been drooling over the Harry Potter Hard Cover Boxed Set that look like a Hogwarts trunk for FOREVER. Every honorable witch should own one. Look at it! Isn't it a little beauty?! I should start a crowdfunding campaign on FB to help my poor self get it.

When you love so much some writer you don't even have to know what the next book will be about to be sure that you are gonna love it. My auto-buy Author are: Victoria Schwab, Patrick Ness, Claire North, Jenny Han, Jojo Moyes and the lately add it Leigh Bardugo.

Forever is a big word, but every book release I'm waiting feels like to much time.
The most anticipated book releases of next year are: Vengeful, sequel to Vicious by V.E Schwab; Crooked Kingdom, 2nd book in the series by Leigh Bardugo; A Conjuring of Light, the finale to the great Victoria Schwab's magical series. I'm also waiting for the play transcription of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, I already preorder it on Depositary and the book release will be in three days time. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
